New Show @ The Barn in Sisters

New Show @ The Barn in Sisters

I am a firm believer that displaying your art in a neighborhood coffee shop is an excellent way to first introduce your art to the world. For me, it also made the idea of sharing my artwork with people more palatable . .

I’ve gotten better at it now, but in the beginning I was scared sh*tless to share my art with anyone other than close friends and family. I still tend to get really awkward when talking about my art . .

If you’re like me, sharing in a coffee shop, bakery, or other business can help you get comfortable interacting with buyers, understanding what pieces sell best, as well as ironing out back-end needs you may not have considered previously.

It’s also a fairly low-pressure undertaking. Apart from ensuring you have enough art to occupy the space, many of the remaining tasks for creating a coffee shop show can happen as needed. Meaning you can kind of fly-blind and figure things out as they come.

Not a bad situation for an art-trepreneur, right?

Given all this, when Hannah from The Barn in Sisters, Oregon reached out to ask if I could hang a last-minute show for February, I jumped at the opportunity.

The Barn is a beautiful tap room with an adjacent food cart pod in the adorable town of Sisters, Oregon – about 30 minutes from Bend.

Personally I love the way this show came together. The neutral interior of The Barn is the perfect canvas for my bright, colorful paintings.

If you’re in the Sisters or Central Oregon area, you can check out my show until March 4th!
